Wildfires in Botswana and Their Frequency of Occurrence

Fires play an essential part in the maintenance of environment, but amplified fire activity often leads to adverse effects environment such as destruction property and loss life. Botswana has experienced wildfires that are caused by humans intentionally unintentionally. Some these grow into mega fires 2008 wildfires. Data reported from Department Forestry Range Resources frequency occurrence was studied analyzed. It shows period 2006-2017, Ghanzi Ngamiland districts were mostly affected These have protected land wildlife parks which may lead outbreak natural burns unnoticed due minimal movements people. The each district show increase over years this affect smooth running operations.
